Operation of a vacuum coffee maker
The operation of a vacuum coffee maker is a unique process by combining vapor pressure and vacuum to brew some great coffee.
A vacuum coffee maker has 6 basic component's
* upper pot
* lower pot
* filter
* rubber gasket
* stand
* glass tube
You add your coffee to the upper pot of of your vacuum coffee maker and the water to the bottom pot. You then put the bottom pot on a heating element of some sort (stove top in many cases) Before the water reaches a boil add the top pot to the unit and seal it.
Now as the water boils in the bottom pot of the vacuum coffee maker it creates pressure that causes the steam to push the water up the glass tube into the upper pot starting the brewing process. The brewing time is a personal preference some like stronger coffee then others but 3-4 minutes of brewing time is ideal.
Then you remove your vacuum coffee maker from your heat source and let it cool down. As it cools down it creates a vacuum effect in the lower pot sucking the water through the filter and back down the glass tube into the lower pot.
Separate the bottom pot and use it to serve your coffee and enjoy.

Vacuum Coffee Maker
A vacuum coffee maker brews coffee using two compartments where steam pressure and vacuum produce coffee which comes out crisp,smooth,clean and rich compared to other styles of brewing methods. This type of coffee brewer is also known as a vac pot, siphon or syphon coffee maker and was created by a guy named Loeff of Berlin Germany in the 1830s. These vacuum coffee makers have been around and used for many years and in different parts of the world. The composition, style and design of the vacuum coffee maker can vary. The material in the chamber can be from many different types. Such as plastic,pyrex and metal. The filter component can be a screen made of metal,paper,cloth or nylon. Or it could be a glass rod. The Napier Vacuum Machine was presented in 1840 and is a basic early example of this technique. Vacuum coffee makers were extremely complex for everyday use. They were prized for making a nice clean clear brew of coffee and were very beloved in the middle of the 20’th century.
